When the Search Reaches the Plant Floor

Our industrial automation recruitment practice covers controls, robotics and manufacturing engineering roles across the same Southern Ontario footprint, so a client rebuilding operations does not have to run two firms.
Supply Chain Recruitment FAQ
What supply chain certifications do your candidates typically hold?
Our candidates hold a range of industry-recognized certifications including NISCL-CSCL, MCIPS, CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management), CSCMP, Lean Six Sigma, PEng, and PMP. We match the right certification and experience profile to each role's specific requirements.
Do you recruit for both strategic and operational supply chain roles?
Yes. Our supply chain practice covers the full spectrum — from VP-level strategic roles overseeing end-to-end supply chain transformation, to operational roles like logistics managers, demand planners, and warehouse operations leaders. We understand the distinction between strategic and tactical supply chain talent and source accordingly.
Do you recruit supply chain talent in Hamilton and Burlington?
Yes. The STORY Group works the Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville corridor as a core part of our Southern Ontario coverage, alongside Mississauga, Toronto and the wider GTA. Our office is in Oakville, ten minutes from Burlington and about half an hour from Hamilton. That stretch of the QEW and the 403 carries a heavy concentration of distribution centres, plants and third-party logistics operations. Supply chain roles there are tied to a site in a way head-office roles are not — the plant does not move, so the hire has to be someone the commute still suits in year three, and a search run out of Toronto tends to surface Toronto candidates.
How do you assess candidates for supply chain leadership positions?
Beyond technical qualifications, we evaluate candidates on their ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement, and navigate complex stakeholder environments. Our team has direct industry experience in supply chain management, so we can assess both the hard and soft skills that determine success in leadership roles.
