Senior Director of Finance
Compensation: ideally up to $180k + Bonus

SUMMARY:
The Senior Director of Finance has hands-on responsibility for the full accounting cycle including consolidations, treasury management, month end close/reporting, the definition, maintenance, and oversight of internal controls and also acts as a cross functional liaison with key departments within the Company including procurement, manufacturing operations, and human resources. S/he will also be responsible for the timely production of US GAAP compliant financial and management reporting, all statutory compliance matters for the business, performing ad-hoc business analyses working in conjunction with key stakeholders including lead FP&A resources, maintenance of accounting systems and records, , the maintenance and analyses of product costing standards and oversight of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
The candidate is a proactive communicator who is comfortable “crossing borders” within an organization to achieve a truly synergistic environment within the Finance Department. S/He appreciates and has the right skillset to build an adaptable Accounting team that can respond to the needs of a growing, fast paced business. S/He is not afraid to get out from ‘behind the desk’ and partner with business lines while exhibiting the right mix of leadership, discipline, trust, and transparency.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting:
Responsible for the oversight and management of the financial administration and financial reporting of the Company
Prepare period end accounting with necessary accruals, adjustments, amortization and revenue recognition entries within a multi-entity, multi-currency reporting environment
Preparation of regular financial reports, including but not limited to a monthly financial statement package for the consolidated Company, including international subsidiaries supported by other Accounting team members
Prepare regular internal management reporting including board presentations and management discussion and analysis
Review financial statements with key executive team members highlighting specific areas of strength, concern or trends
Efficiently drive interim and year-end financial statement audit process working as primary lead between the Company and its auditors including owning the responsibility for the timely preparation and submission of fiscal year end financials and note disclosures
Acting as the Accounting “champion”, along with other cross functional team members
Supporting our FP&A leads managing the timely completion of our annual consolidated budget
Expenditures and Disbursements:
Reconciliation and real time maintenance of manufacturing cost variances
Assuming the vital responsibility to implement an environment of true accountability and controls regarding appropriate approvals and supporting documents for all expenditures incurred by the Company
Oversee the preparation of vendor payments, presentation to executive team members for signature, filing all documents
Maintenance of transfer pricing policies across the related group of companies
Banking:
Preparation of weekly cash reconciliation and forecast
Oversee daily reconciliation of bank accounts
Recording transfers between companies, maintaining intercompany accounts in balance always
Preparation of bank compliance reporting
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES (CONT.):
Taxation:
Preparation of income tax provisions and oversight of jurisdictional income tax compliance requirements working in concert with the Company’s CFO and tax advisors
Preparation of tax financial statements (BS, IS & Notes) for both domestic and international tax compliance (varying year ends)
Timely maintenance of other tax related filings (jurisdiction specific sales tax remittances)
Payroll:
Oversight of preparation of salaried and hourly payroll (union and non-Union employees)
Oversight of preparation and filing of all regional payroll compliance
Maintenance of defined benefit and defined contribution pension plan accounting
